Dalgona Coffee

DalgonaCoffee.jpg

I first saw this dalgona coffee on the subtle asian cooking facebook group a week ago. I saved it, but then didn’t get around to making it. Then I saw it all over my tiktok and instagram, so I finally decided to hop on the train and whip it up!

Dalgona coffee has its origins in South Korea–it is a whipped coffee that sort of resembles a mousse. The coffee was named as such because it resembles a Korean sponge candy–dalgona.

This recipe is super simple and only takes about 5 minutes, that is, if you have a mixer or hand-mixer. If you hand whisk, it can take up to 20 minutes. All you need is instant coffee, sugar, and hot water!
